Hello, my name is Pal and this is PenPAL
My brand new little corner of the internet that has been on the works for a long time now, and has finally seen daylight.
I've always been eager about sharing my artwork, learnings, ideas and story with others, so after years of compulsive planning and lots of procrastination, I decided that opening up a little blog with the aspiration to become a shop and then maybe something more, was the way to go, so here we are, on the first day of this new adventure.
First things first, I'll tell you a little bit more about me, I am born and raised in Mexico City, I've always loved art and fashion, but somehow ended up studying Marketing & Communications, (instead of Fashion or Graphic Design 🤷🏻♀️) don't get me wrong I really enjoy my major, still I know my life will always incline toward those other two, in a way, they all complement each other.
I have a pretty preppy sense of fashion, quite romantic and traditional at the same time, and even though I'm 22, everything pink it's still the right way for me, at this point I guess I'll never change (and I love it).
Ever since I was little, I've hoarded on notebooks and stationary supplies, and that has inspired me to create Penpal, my plans for this are great, you'll see down the way. So, that, and the fact that I'm pretty much addicted to hand lettering, stickers, fashion, and Taylor Swift, is a very general picture of who I am.
As for Penpal, here you can expect my artwork as it comes, some monthly freebies to match, call them calendars, templates or just art prints. And regarding this personal digital space where I can vent out my mind, well, I'll be writing down some crafty tutorials and DIY's, organization and school tips, and more things that fall into categories such as lifestyle, faith, art and design! I really expect to be updating this weekly, yet forgive me for I am still a *pretty nerd* student that also has a half time job in a great international company and sometimes that gets in the way.
Being so close to graduation, I feel like there must be something more to becoming who I want to before I'm out there in the world, and having this space makes me know no matter where I am I'll always have something to hold on to and dedicate those creative moments to.
So if you are a paper & crafts enthusiast, dream-maker, and pink lover just like me, this is the right place to come, with the hopes something might inspire you, and if I get lucky, that you'll someday leave with nice hand designed products to accompany throughout your day-to-day.
Oh, and while you're here, please know that feedback, comments and suggestions are completely encouraged! After all, I'm new at this blogging slash entrepreneuring thing and am just trying to do my best possible!
