Last month I traveled with my friends to an Ed Sheeran concert, and as every girl trip must go, we made the obligatory stop at Sephora and Ulta to stock up on some new makeup and goodies. I have never been known to be very makeup savvy, half my products are from Sephora's own brand and I deeply believe that drugstore mascara is the best mascara out there ... still, coming along some new additions to the makeup bag is always good news, and since I loooved (almost) all of them, I'll spill the juice.
SUMMER FRIDAYS LIP BUTTER BALM
The thing about Summer Fridays is that it's so aesthetic you love their products just from laying eyes on it's packaging, and the quality really matches the visual, their lip butter balms are so soft and have the most amazing scent, so yes - totally worth it!. I got the Pink Sugar and the Vanilla one, opting for subtle hues since I mainly wanted them to help hydrate throughout the day and replace the good habit I lost after graduating of applying balm constantly. I really liked them and use them daily, i love how they look so pretty they add a pop of color to my office desk and help inspiration flow.
KRISTIN ESS HAIR - WEIGHTLESS SHINE
My first approach to Kristin Ess was getting her golden comb about a year ago, which is the perfect friend for softening Dyson Airwrap curls. I just discovered the brand goes beyond accessories and has hair products, and oh boy - they're great! I've been using the Weightless Shine Leave In Conditioner & Serum for about two months now, and it is the best for detangling wet hair and helping it dry naturally in a beautiful and super shiny way. All it takes is to apply about 5 sprays right out of the shower and your hair will glow and flow beautifully when . It's perfect for those busy days rushing to the office from the gym where there is no time for a hairdo, and now, no need for a pony tail. I can't wait to try out her shampoo and conditioner.
FENTY BEAUTY CREAM
Got the Fenty Glow Cream Gloss thinking on all the bridal events to come, while looking for a nice and elegant pop of color and shimmer. It's so creamy and not sticky at all. I don't really like how it tastes, but hey, it's a lipstick not a candy, right? It lasts for a good couple of hours and gives that elegant look I was definitely looking for. This won't be the last Fenty lip gloss I purchase, and I don't think it'll be my favorite either.
RARE BEAUTY LIQUID BLUSH
How did I not know this brand was owned by Selena Gomez? I guess that I'll never have the answer for that but what I do have the answer for is how great and versatile are their liquid blushes? AMAZINGLY SO!
Encourage was the hue I chose since one of my friends swears by it. To be honest, I really need them in many more colors and can't wait to try different looks with them, even though I really liked how this one looks, it's darker and more wintery, so I'm looking to get a brighter pink one for the summer. Not only do they add a beautiful and natural blended blush effect, but when in a hurry it acts as a lipgloss and liquid eyeshadow too, giving a very put together look in just a few minutes.
MORPHE 18W NATURAL WONDER
Okay, this one was no surprise for me. I already own about two or three Morphe palettes and I use them for every special occasion, since I got shimmery and more dark ones. After seeing the colors on the Natural Wonder Palette, I knew this was gonna become my new everyday palette. With soft pinks and light browns, this palette is very versatile and can take you from a classic morning look to a late latte brown. If you like neutrals and soft hues, this one's for you.
MOON TEETH WHITENER
After seeing similar products pop up in TikTok I decided to give this teeth whitener a try. I was completely skeptical and suspicious about how this would work, and I was absolutely right. I have used it while following the instructions directly for a couple of weeks now and my teeth are exactly the same. So I decided to stop it's use completely, afraid I'll damage them. Want whiter teeth? Go to your dentist and don't waste your money on this.
MORPHE SETTING MIST
Setting Mist. A must have in every makeup bag according to many ... I was skeptical really, but I got the Morphe mini one just to try it out, and it 👏 does 👏 work. Applied as a finisher in combo with translucent powder (I previously owned the Morphe one) it really does last about 10 hours with no need of retouching anything but lips. Quick & great, and the mini is perfect for traveling.
CLINIQUE BEYOND PERFECTING FOUNDATION
I used to swear by the Sephora Collection's Best Skin Ever foundation, and it's super good don't get me wrong. But I really wanted to try something different and take a little bit of better care of my skin, since #aging, and I went with my skincare brand this time, Clinique. Their 2 in 1 (foundation meets concealer) foundation is really great, it has the perfect balance of coverage, very similar to the Sephora one, just about enough to be visible and still be able to spot your freckles underneath, without feeling heavy at all. The applicator is great, you only need one drop to cover your whole face and it lasts the whole day.
Hope this products help you want to change things up a little in your makeup bag, and please do share what are your absolute mosts so that I can add them to mine ;)
