This space was created to talk about my six favorite things from the previous month, in this case, June. Wether I bought, watched or coveted them, my monthly highlights from this first summer month which I believe you should definitely check out are listed below ...
I've been keeping this band in my Amazon cart for ages! After a long while I finally convinced myself to splurge on it, and it don't regret it at all since I use it almost everyday to the office now. I love the metal combination, it lets me play around with my jewelry and matches everyday no matter if I wear silver or gold. It's sturdy, made from stainless steel, easy to clean, and easy to adjust to your wrist's size. After a month's use it still shines like the very first day. The attachment band matches the starlight Apple Watch perfectly and would look just as nice in any other color.
I bought it from Amazon since Kate Spade stores apparently disappeared in my city ... it arrived the next day, perfectly protected in it's original sealed box.
If you'd like to up your Apple Watch game and make it look less "techy", believe me this band is the way to go!
Noticing a pattern here? I LOOVE Kate Spade accessories and how they make the everyday a little less dull and a lot more girly. I like looking at simple things and feeling inspired and happy, and their design and colors hit all those marks for me. Looking for a nice card holder to carry around the office I found this lovely one that has the same pattern as my umbrella does ... so it was an obvious decision and I added to cart. It's got the nice Kate Spade quality and fits about 7 cards and some cash, I definitely recommend it!
The story behind Netflix's new thriller movie can be found in the pages of The New Yorker, based off a short story written by George Saunders under the title "Escape from Spiderhead". I responsibly read the short story here before streaming the movie, and I must say that the story, as usual, is much much better than the adaptation. I really enjoyed the movie, don't get me wrong, and how couldn't I with Hemsworth and Miles leading the cast?. But still, they changed the ending completely and I believe the original one did the story (which very clearly is another social critique) much more powerful and it opens up a reflective opportunity that the movie simply misses to hit. My request? Take 20 minutes of your day and read the story, no matter if you already watched the movie or not, it's well worth it.
FOUR // TWENTY SOMETHING - Disney+
This Spark-short is everything you sometimes get to feel as ... well, a twenty something. It's fun and quick and so real. It helped me remember everything I am, and everywhere I've been. Make peace with the confident days and the ones where I am everything but. I believe everyone in their twenties should watch this short and then go through life understanding that people, as displayed in this creative piece, are nothing more than the sum of their stories. Let me know what you think of it once you've watched it!
FIVE // STRANGER THINGS - Netflix
Okay, if you haven't watched season 4 of Stranger Things would you please ... EXPLAIN YOURSELF! I mean,
SIX // PEGASUS 39 - Nike
Would someone please gift me this running shoes? I'm size 6 thanks! No really, please give them to me! This new Pegasus are what a runner's dreams are made of. No other pair of shoes in the entire world makes me as happy, fast and comfortable as the Pegasus do, and this new edition promises to up the last generations' game by far, PLUS, the design and colors are just too beautiful, pastel me everything please. I hope I soon get to try them out and tell you if they're really that much better than my pair of 37's, stay tuned.
