Life's Better With Stickers ...

A simplified (and beautiful) life. That's the promise that Emily Ley makes with every single one of her products and as far as I'm concerned, she always delivers.

I've been a proud user of the Simplified Planner for over four years now and let me tell you there is no going back. I've always been a paper girl, there's something about actually writing things down physically that no technology will ever beat.

I know I've already written about the planner here before, but there's something about this year that's made me even happier about carrying it around with me and documenting my day to day life amongst it's perfectly designed pages. If you'd like to see a snippet of everything so far, check out my latest reel here.

I've already tried the Daily and the Dapperdesk, and to me the Daily is the way to go. It just works so much better with my needs, mainly for the spiral bound which makes it easier to write on and have open throughout the day, and for the monthly divisions and layouts, since the Dapperdesk has this pages all at the beginning and the flow of it is harder to work around on an everyday.

I am happy to see my Simplified Planner filled with great memories, plans, and accomplishments, and for the first time ever, an unapologetic use of stickers, which makes it the best used planner so far.

I've been collecting, well more like hoarding stickers most of my life. I still have stickers my mom once gifted me as a kid ... that she had kept since she was a kid. Ever since I was that little I've been afraid of using them because "they'll be gone". This sticker thing I have, where I love them but never use them for fear of not having the chance of using them ever again, has bugged me for as long as I can remember, why can't I just stick with something? literally ... so this year I decided to change that and use every sticker I wanted to use without thinking it twice. And I couldn't recommend it more.

I think for me stickers are a small representation of some bigger things in life, and sometimes having the nerve and decision to sticking up even with the small things can change the big things as well.

Emily talks a lot about seeking grace, not perfection; and I believe there's a lot of grace in changing up small things, as stupid or great as they might seem to yourself, there's grace in believing in yourself and acknowledging small changes count and can shape you into a better version. I deeply recommend Emily's books to cheer you up and stir you into the making rather than the planning direction.

So as we've reached the first half of the year, I guess my only recommendation would be to start using your stickers and enjoying your every day, live in the moment, record it and cherish it. It's time to implement small changes that can make you more confident, happier and a better you before the halls start decking and the snow starts falling and the resolutions become a thing of the following year...
